The court battle over the land surrounding Greasewood Flat in north Scottsdale could become more contentious as one of the developers involved says he will appeal a court commissioner’s decision to keep bidding open on the 43-acre property.

Scott Pfeiffer of Sonora West Development maintains he should have been awarded the land twice, and a competitor for the land, Taylor Morrison Homes, was allowed to make an offer after a court-imposed deadline.

“This is pretty frustrating for us, so we are pursuing an appeal,” he said.
