Two influential Arizona Republicans recently met with state Sen. Michele Reagan to ask her to run for a seat on Arizona Corporation Commission, which regulates utilities.

Reagan, a Republican, announced a bid for secretary of state last week.

In late October, former U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl and Commissioner Susan Bitter Smith, met with Reagan, Bitter Smith confirmed to The Arizona Republic. During the meeting, Kyl and Bitter Smith told Reagan she would be a strong candidate for the regulatory board.
