Weidner closing 2013 with a bang…spends $40.2 million for 354 apartments in Anthem

Anthem – A company formed by Weidner Apartment Homes in Kirkland, Wash. (Dean Weidner, principal) paid $40.2 million ($113,559 per unit) to buy the 354-unit BelaRosa apartments at 3825 W. Anthem Way in the Anthem community north of Phoenix. The seller was Belarosa Group LLC, a venture formed by The Greystone Group in Newport Beach, Calif. (Walter Eeds, pres.), and Westfield Capital Partners in Denver, Colo. (Rich McClintock, pres.). The deal was brokered through Mark Forrester and Ric Holwa of Hendricks-Berkadia in Phoenix.
