Marana council approves land exchange

The Marana Town Council approved 7.3-acre land exchange with Sky Ranch Homeowners Association in exchange for an 18-acre parcel during the Jan. 7 regular meeting.

The 7.3-acre parcel, known as Parcel “A”, was originally going to be used for a desert educational center for children. The only access to the area is a private street, Big Sky Ranch Drive, which is owned by Sky Ranch. The Town of Marana wants the exchange because a park is not possible on such a small parcel with limited access.
