Transportation Director Mehta new Marana Deputy Town Manager

The Town of Marana has hired City of Glendale Transportation Services Executive Director Jamsheed Mehta as its deputy town manager. He starts work March 17 in Marana.

Mehta has been with Glendale since 2005, including a one-year interim assignment as assistant city manager in October 2012. During his time there, he also served as interim city manager for five weeks, including assistance with development of the city’s $579 million budget; managed the Glendale Onboard 25-year, $871 million transportation program; served as chair of the transit management committee in the Phoenix metro area; secured millions in regional and federal funding to complement local funds for capital projects and managed multi-modal transportation plans and jurisdictional coordination for the 2008 Super Bowl in Glendale.
