Nine-year Maricopa resident Rich Vitiello has announced his candidacy for Maricopa City Council.
He said he will work to find ways to help local businesses become successful and have a “lasting and far-ranging impact on gaining momentum to insure our city’s future.” He said he also is concerned about the State Route 347 overpass issue and wants to make sure local residents “get a fair shake in all aspects of that project.”
Vitiello, a self-employed sporting goods and bicycling equipment consultant, said he brings 27 years of business experience to the city.
Besides working to bring new jobs to the city, the candidate said he will work to attract new residents and work “in balancing the needs of fiscal conservatism and social awareness so that jobs and businesses in Maricopa stay and thrive in Maricopa.”
