Aspera to positively affect lives of all residents

Groundbreaking for Aspera at the Church of Joy was a community, though some may call it state, event. Gov. Jan Brewer joined Mayor Jerry Weirs, Community Church of Joy Senior Pastor Walt Kallestad, and Treasure House founders Kurt and Brenda Warner and hundreds of others for the city-wide celebration.

“This project is about the church, the lives impacted and about the values and greater good that will come of this entire development plan,” said Kallestad. “People have been praying for 40 years on how to best utilize this land and the mission of the project is what stirred city fathers to approve and support this enterprise.”

Cardon Development Group is the lead contractor for development of Aspera, approximately 80 acres at Loop 101 and 75th Avenue. Community Church of Joy represents the mission of Cardon Development Group, to enrich the lives of individuals and the community as a whole.
