Apartment project at Scottsdale Airpark seeks approval

A developer is seeking city approval for its plans to build a four-story apartment building in Scottsdale Airpark. It would be the first residential project approved completely within the Airpark, a major employment center.

Sunrise Commons would include 281 units. Both the height and number of units are less than proposed in an earlier rezoning case.

The apartments would share a site of 11.2 acres formerly used by a car dealership that has been vacant for several years. Impact Church would occupy 6.6 acres of the site on Hayden Road at 84th Street, a few blocks east of the airport property.
