U.S. Bank building, garage bring close to $60 million

Another big real-estate deal has closed in downtown Phoenix. The high-rise known as the US Bank Center and the six-floor parking garage next to it have sold for almost $60 million.

At 31 stories, the building is the second-tallest in the state, behind the nearby Chase Tower, at 40 stories.

Portland, Ore.-based real estate merchant banking firm ScanlanKemperBard Cos. bought the US Bank Center tower at 101 N. First Ave. from New York-based Angelo Gordon & Co., according to real estate research firm Vizzda.
