Refusing to give up the fight, newly elected state Attorney General Mark Brnovich is going to renew the effort to take licenses to drive out of the hands of dreamers.
His office filed a notice Friday that it intends to appeal a month-old ruling by U.S. District Court Judge David Campbell that Arizona acted illegally in denying licenses for those who qualify for the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. In issuing a permanent injunction, Campbell rejected arguments by attorneys for the state that DACA recipients are in this country illegally.
