Pinal supervisor denies electioneering

Pinal County Supervisor Cheryl Chase says there’s no truth to allegations she violated county policy and campaigned on the job during a parade in December.

In a Jan. 19 email sent to the five county supervisors, County Manager Greg Stanley, Sheriff Paul Babeu and others, San Tan Valley resident Jeffrey Kramer accused Chase of using county resources and campaigning on the taxpayers’ dime when she participated in the Dec. 6, 2014, San Tan Valley Polarfest Holiday Parade.

Kramer has been involved in Pinal County politics. He was the campaign manager for Republican Alan Pease, a candidate who ran for state Senate in District 8 last year but lost in the primary election. Pease was endorsed and financially supported by Babeu.
