Former Tucson Electric Power CEO dead in triple-killing

The former head of Tucson Electric Power was killed along with two family members in Idaho, news reports show.

Theodore M. Welp, 80, was CEO in the utility company in the 1980s. The body of Welp, his wife, Delores E. Welp, 77, and their 52-year-old son Thomas P. Welp were found Tuesday in at a home in the foothills above Boise, the Associated Press says.

A man who police say tried to sell a ring belonging to one of the victims is in custody, AP reported today.

Authorities have yet to provide a cause of death or motive for the killings.
