Lower building fees OK’d for small Florence projects

Modified building fees, intended to make small projects more affordable and reducing what the town collects for plan reviews and permits, were approved by the Town Council.

Florence Community Development Director Mark Eckhoff wrote in a town staff report that there are occasional concerns that the fees for small residential projects, such as remodels, garages and patios, are too high. These new options are limited to residential projects only, excluding new home construction.
