AG says Councilman Sherwood did not violate open meeting law

After months of investigation, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office has cleared Councilmember Gary Sherwood of an open meeting law violation, submitted July 2014.

“Mr. Sherwood sent an e-mail on June 29, 2013 to fellow councilmember Manny Martinez and to Jeff Teetsel, a real estate professional, regarding negotiations between the City of Glendale and the new owner of the Phoenix Coyotes related to management of the former Jobing.com Arena,” Assistant Attorney General Christopher Munns said in a release.
