A four-year legal saga over campaign finance laws came to an end as the Arizona Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal from the Committee for Justice and Fairness, allowing an appellate court’s ruling against the group to stand.
The high court on Tuesday denied the committee’s request for review of an Arizona Court of Appeals ruling that found the group had violated state laws requiring it to register as an independent expenditure committee and disclose its contributors from the 2010 election cycle.
