The good news is that Glendale is growing, perhaps more quickly than earlier thought, but the bad news is that the city isn’t keeping up with its neighbors.
The population of Glendale might be rising faster than what state officials have said, according to U.S. Census Bureau data released last week, with federal figures for the number of city residents leading the state’s estimates by almost 5,000.
As of July 1, 2014, the number of people living in Glendale was either 237,517, according to population estimates the Census Bureau released May 21, or 232,680, according to data the state published in mid-December.
