The Planning & Development Department now offers 23 new online permits through the city Website. Previously, there were nine online permits available, only for residential work. The expanded system includes residential, commercial and fire permits for minor work that is currently eligible for an over-the-counter permit with code compliance verified by the city inspector.
These online permits are in line with recent efforts to streamline city services, reduce wait times at the permit counter and facilitate private development. These permits will be easily obtained 24 hours a day, seven days a week without requiring a trip to Phoenix City Hall.
