Congressman Matt Salmon doesn’t sound like he’s gearing up to take on five-term Sen. John McCain.
The Mesa Republican on Monday dismissed a “rumor” that he’s taking a hard look at running against McCain in a Republican primary 13 months from now.
“Arizonans, Americans, they’re sick and tired of politics as usual,” Salmon said in an interview at his Gilbert office. “They’re sick and tired of politicians that are always looking for the next political gig and to feather their own nests.
