First homes sold at Granite Dells Estates; Mandalay, other builders commit

The infrastructure for Phase One of Granite Dells Estate, south of Granite Dells Parkway off Highway 89, is nearly complete; the first two lots have been sold and housing construction is just about to begin.

Mike Fann, president of Fann Contracting and developer of “The Dells,” has been anticipating this since he first purchased the 1,100-acre subdivision in 2006.

“It’s been a painful wait,” Fann said.

The recession stalled the operation, but Fann recalls his initial intentions and does not regret the purchase.
