(Editor’s note: Rose Law Group represents Rural/Metro)
The Republic regularly asks West Valley leaders to share their thoughts on issues, and this week’s question is about the proposed sale of Scottsdale-based Rural/Metro Corp. to a Colorado company that similarly provides fire and ambulance services.
Envision Healthcare Holdings, based in Greenwood Village, Colo., operates American Medical Response (AMR) as the nation’s largest private ambulance provider.
Earlier this year, AMR was authorized to compete against Rural/Metro for contracts in Maricopa County. News of Rural/Metro’s sale came late last month.
Question: Many West Valley cities contract with Rural/Metro for ambulance services. As the company seeks to merge with AMR, what will this mean for residents in your city?
