Home price increases in Kingman metro area among nation’s highest

The average home price in Kingman and Golden Valley increased to $138,879 in August, compared with $127,453 in the previous month, according to statistics from the Kingman Golden Valley Association of Realtors.

The price is up about 33 percent from a year ago, and the Kingman-Lake Havasu City metropolitan statistical area is ranked among the top 20 markets in the nation for year-over-year growth in home prices.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency showed 10.59 percent house price appreciation for Lake Havasu City-Kingman in the second quarter, compared with the year-ago period, placing it 12th among ranked U.S. metros.
