Study: The key to happiness at work is free snacks

Even at a company with unlimited vacation, it’s hard to compete with the daily joy of having a seltzer machine in the office kitchen.

After one was installed four months ago at the Waltham, Mass., office of public relations firm InkHouse, employees told InkHouse co-founder Beth Monaghan that the machine was “life changing.” And while she says they were slightly kidding, still, “people just love it.”
