The Glendale will pay Conair Corp. nearly $7.4 to settle a more than 25-year dispute over land the global health, beauty products and appliance maker is in line to develop near Glendale Municipal Airport as part of its distribution network.
A $13.2 million agreement approved by the City Council in a 7-0 vote Tuesday night reflects a previous $5.2 million payment by Glendale to Conair made May 31, 2012, for 38.5 acres taken from Conair under eminent domain by the city for a required safety buffer after Glendale expanded the airport runway in 2003.
