The Scottsdale City Council last night unanimously approved KHovanian Homes General Plan and rezoning request for Gallery, a 1.2-acre site located at 71st Street and Earl Drive in downtown Scottsdale.

Khov is planning to construct a gated, 18 attached ownership unit community with price points starting well above the Scottsdale median home pricing. The application describes the project as one of “modern elegance” with an emphasis on open floor plans and glass. Research indicates there is market demand for this type of high end luxury ownership unit. KHov is hoping to achieve DRB and final plat approvals in the next several months and start the project as soon as possible.

Councilmembers were highly complimentary of KHov’s proposed project and the way the KHov team (Chuck Chisholm, Jack McSweeney, Jordan Rose, Jennifer Hall and Alex Stedman) worked with their neighbors to come to a unique resolution that would remove a legal protest that had been filed on two sides of the property.  On behalf of KHov, Mrs. Rose thanked the council, staff, city attorney, and neighbors for working together to not only resolve issues, but also doing it so quickly as to provide approvals in about half the time of the normal process.
