Right now, they’re just colored lines on a map. But what they represent is the means for transforming Pinal County from a semirural and disconnected county to a more interwoven and thriving core to the Sun Corridor.
Speaking with residents in Apache Junction on Tuesday, representatives of the Pinal County Regional Transportation Authority outlined the details behind a plan that calls for significant improvements to existing county roadways as well as the creation of completely new roads to ease the growing congestion issues drivers face. Once citizen and city input is complete, the plan will go back to the Pinal Board of Supervisors for approval before it will go, along with a proposed half-cent sales tax measure, to the voters this fall.
