The City of Peoria has approved a developer’s request to rezone a plot of land, allowing the company to proceed toward building new homes in the area.
But first, the developer and one Peoria resident need to reach an agreement on the size and location of each lot.
The city council unanimously approved the rezoning request March 1 for Ironwood Estates, a 5.04-acre piece of land along 104th Avenue south of Pinnacle Peak Road.
The land was rezoned from General Agriculture to the Ironwood Planned Area Development District, allowing developers to potentially construct six single-story houses.
