Arizona business groups back push to limit city ordinances

Businesses groups are continuing to push for simplification — and in some cases a reduction of — a patchwork of cities’ ordinances they say are negatively impacting companies.

The Arizona Senate has been working on House Concurrent Resolution 2014, which would raise the state minimum wage overall, but effectively bar cities and counties from setting their own minimum wage. It’s a response from several cities looking at conducting such a move.
