Following public allegations proclaiming that Coolidge Councilman Robert Hudelson does not reside within the city limits, Pinal County Attorney Kent Volkmer said there is not enough evidence to declare a vacancy.
In an official response to City Attorney Denis Fitzgibbons, the Pinal County Attorney’s Office stated that “pursuant to applicable statutory and case law, there is insufficient evidence to declare that a vacancy exists.”
In October 2016, Hudelson purchased a property on Escrito Road in Saddelbrooke in southern Pinal County. Shortly after, a complaint was filed with the PCAO, which made allegations that Hudelson did not reside at the Coolidge property he was leasing.
