The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and Elliott D. Pollack and Co. have released an impact analysis showing that Gilbert’s proposed Major League Baseball spring training facility would bring thousands of jobs and an estimated $278 million boost annually to the local economy.

As part of the analysis, the Milwaukee Brewers submitted an outline of its commitments to the city for the facility, which includes the team covering the cost of construction and operation.

According to the chamber, the report shows the facility could create over 1,900 jobs for construction and about 2,500 jobs created to operate the facility.
