Michael P. Saucier, 46, of Phoenix, Ariz., a journalist and public relations consultant, died Nov. 1, at home and with his family by his side, after a short and valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. He was the husband of Fernanda Santos Saucier and father of Flora Santos Saucier.

Mr. Saucier wrote stories for a living. In Phoenix, he was the founder and owner of Soss Communications, a consulting business, and the proud editor of Frontdoors, a magazine that focused on philanthropy.

Prior to moving to Arizona five years ago, Mr. Saucier worked as a press secretary in the administration of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in New York, as foreign and city editor at The New York Sun, and as a copy editor at TheStreet.com, the Boston Herald and Naples Daily News in Florida.
