Public information officers have one client: the organization they work for, attorney says

Government transparency or spin doctoring?

Opposite terms that, depending on your perception, can be used for the same profession: public information officer.

Apache Junction, Casa Grande and Maricopa — the county’s largest municipalities — along with Pinal County, have dedicated offices for public information, departments that manage the flow into and out of government agencies.

And those offices cost big bucks to taxpayers.
