Tempe ‘squatter’ isn’t taking eviction order lying down, seeks time to appeal decision

A man who was facing eviction from the Tempe land that has been in his family for more than a century has filed a motion that buys him more time on the property.

A Superior Court judge in February gave Steve Sussex 30 days to vacate the parcel of land, a site that contains both a historic adobe house and enough vehicles and debris to give it the look of a junkyard.
