Residents along Chandler’s Price Road Corridor are frustrated by a humming sound they compare to a mosquito buzzing at your ear.
The residents near Chuparosa Park have sought ways to combat the high-pitched hum over the past two years. Ear plugs, noise-canceling headphones, fans and pillows over the head are no match for the tone they say.
The hum isn’t emanating from an insect, but from industrial air-conditioning units at a nearby data center owned by Cyrus One. Shutting the units off could cost the company millions of dollars, one representative told police after residents complained.
