In terms of economic development, the city has a lot on the horizon.
In a presentation to city council Tuesday, Economic Development Director Denyse Airheart discussed the many developments that are currently in the works.
The first area is the Estrella Gin Business Park. This area is a 52-acre site, with 40 acres for private development. This idea is for the park to be a mixture of industrial, office and flex space.
The city has previously entered into contract negotiations for this area to no fruition. More recently, they issued a tentative award letter to a developer, and are currently in a 90-day negotiation period. Airheart said council will likely see and vote on the contract later this summer.
