Old Toltec School to become ‘one-stop shop’ for Eloy community

After 15 years of blood, sweat, tears and nearly $140,000 from the Santa Cruz Valley Historic Museum board, the Old Toltec School may be open for business by the end of the year.

“I think it’s a good thing for us that the city wants to move forward and help us finish the building,” said Dick Myers, president of the museum board.

Throughout April, the board has been working with the city of Eloy, the Eloy Chamber of Commerce and the Eloy Visitor Center to get a new lease written for the property, which now is owned by the city.
