Scottsdale residents opposed to a desert appreciation center in the city’s preserve say they have enough signatures to put the issue before voters Nov. 8.

Protect Our Preserve PAC has collected 31,600 signatures, well over the 23,908 signatures required to get on the ballot, according to Jason Alexander, one of the group’s leader.

The PAC is a combined effort by two groups, No DDC and Protect Our Preserve, both opposed to the development of the Desert Discovery Center, now called Desert Edge.
