No primary election for Flagstaff City Council or mayor

There will be no primary election this August for Flagstaff City Council.

According to the Flagstaff City Clerk’s Office, only one person filed to run for mayor, incumbent Coral Evans, and six people filed to run for three seats on the council. The city charter requires a primary only if there are more than two candidates per seat.

The six people running for council in November are: Paul Deasy, Dennis Lavin, Austin Aslan, Alex Martinez, Regina Salas and Adam Shimoni.
