Goodyear selects new economic development director

The city of Goodyear has hired Lori Gary as director of the Economic Development Department. She begins on Sept. 25.

“Lori brings to us a wealth of experience, a solid reputation within the economic development community, a high-energy personality and a sincere enthusiasm for the Goodyear of today and the future,” said Goodyear City Manager Julie Arendall.

Prior to accepting the post in Goodyear, Gary was a senior project manager for the city of Mesa’s office of economic development. Specifically, she promoted new investment, redevelopment and reuse, and job creation within Mesa’s Fiesta District, Falcon District and West Mesa.
