McCarthy Building Companies Inc. will begin construction on a new $20 million five-level, 293,000-square-foot parking garage for the City of Chandler next month.
Upon completion in December 2019, the garage will include a minimum of 930 parking spaces, adding much-needed parking options for those accessing City Hall as well as restaurants and other venues in bustling downtown Chandler. The structure will be located to the west of City Hall across Arizona Avenue on the northwest corner of Chicago and Oregon streets.
“This strategically placed parking garage will help with business traffic on weekdays and with those traveling to Chandler for entertainment on weeknights and weekends,” said Kim Moyers, Downtown Redevelopment Manager for the City of Chandler. “We look forward to adding this structure to our parking inventory as a much-needed resource for downtown, and in particular, for accessing the future New Square development.”
