Honeywell R&D center sells for $26.5M

A Honeywell International research and development property in Glendale has sold for $26.5 million.

Los Angeles-based BH Properties bought 19019 North 59th Avenue near Union Hills Drive and the Loop 101 freeway in the Arrowhead area.

The seller was Lexington Realty Trust.

Mindy Korth and Kirk Kuller of Colliers International brokered the sale.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) currently leases the 252,300-square foot building, according to a company spokesman. It has aerospace operations there including the development and production of gyroscopes, cockpit displays and data management systems for defense and space programs.

Honeywell ‘s aerospace division is headquartered in Phoenix with major operations near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
