Gilbert looks at land annexation, new residential development

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Gilbert Town Council will consider annexing unincorporated land at Recker and Ocotillo roads for a new residential development.

Camelot Homes wants to build a new 21.3-acre, single-family project called Terraza on the 26-acre parcel near Gilbert’s border with Queen Creek.

The land currently has a county rural zoning designation. The Gilbert Town Council is scheduled to consider the annexation and zoning at its meeting today. The land would be rezoned single-family homes.

City documents show 29 new homes are planned.
