Gilbert to vote on Blandford Homes plans for 222 new homes

The Gilbert Town Council will vote next week on plans by Blandford Homes to build 222 new single-family homes on 63.5 acres at Germann and Greenfield roads.

The Gilbert council is scheduled to consider a rezoning request for the Blandford development at its September 5 meeting.

The town of Gilbert annexed the property in 2006 and had originally considered it for a new regional park. The town has instead relocated new park plans to Higley and Queen Creek roads.
