When Lorrie Henderson, president and CEO of Jewish Family and Children’s Services, was looking for ways to keep staff and clients safe and build confidence on the safety of their health in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic he turned to HealthyVerify Certification for help.

HealthyVerify is the country’s only medically based, scientific, and professional certification company helping minimize the rise of COVID-19.  Scottsdale-based HealthyVerify helps businesses, nonprofits, schools, and workplaces develop and implement best practices for cleanliness and health safety to curb the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses.

“It just made great sense given everything that we’re going through to enable us to keep the staff and the clients we serve as safe as possible,” Henderson said.

Jewish Family and Children’s Services provides health services (including essential medical care), behavioral health, counseling, and other care.

HealthyVerify (HVC) and its public health and infectious disease experts from the Barrow Neurological Institute are going above and beyond Centers for Disease Control safeguards when it comes to protecting against COVID-19.

JFCS is one of the first medical providers HealthyVerify has certified. Other clients include the Avondale Elementary School District, national real estate firm Offerpad, the Phoenix Rising FC soccer team and the City of Goodyear and its training facilities for the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians.

“HVC helps us to ensure through 3rd party certification that we are providing the healthiest safest environment for staff and clients,” Henderson said.

HealthyVerify is helping JFCS on how to best separate its counseling and behavioral health services from its medical care as well as how to enhance and expand its telemedicine offerings. HVC also helped JFCS establish health safety procedures for off-site counseling visits.

Henderson said the help with best practices helps build confidence with patients and staff concerned about COVID.

“Our biggest challenge regarding the COVID virus has been the apprehension of clients to have exposure to others that may have had exposure,” he said.

Henderson said HealthyVerify helps build that confidence and expand best practices to ensure health safety.

“JFCS’ approach to dealing with the COVID virus has been to very closely adhered to national health experts’ recommendations on physical distance, wearing masks, cleaning, washing hands, plexiglass barriers, and screening staff.,” Henderson said. “And as new information comes forward, we stay on top of the latest prevention. This enables us to continue to serve the most needy clients and continue to serve tens of thousands of those in need.”
