Homes are selling fast in the Sun Cities sight-unseen using virtual tours, which is a changing trend in real estate.
Gordon Nichols, Long Realty West Valley owner and designated broker, said there were two completely separate looking halves to 2020 due to COVID-19. Jerry Pickles, another Long Realty West Valley broker, explained what he calls a major shift in business. The move to virtual showings and open houses was met with major acceptance from the buying and selling population, he said. Additionally, over the last 11 years, this year’s production is at least 28% higher than it was last year.
“Homes are selling at a record pace and the inventory is short,” Mr. Pickles explained. “A listing that has not been put on the MLS yet, but has a sign post out front, are already getting calls and people are wanting to schedule a showing. They have buyers that are stacked on top of each other. And in Sun City West, Sun City Grand and all active adult community homes we have are selling as soon as they are on the market.”
