Surprise city staff, council members and planning commissioners all seem to be on the same page on narrow lots in upcoming city subdivisions.
When the city updates its development code, it is likely to include the flexibility for new community proposals having lots 50 feet wide or less, and with yards of five feet on both sides of the house.
But those developers better bring in amenities beneficial to the city in exchange for a generous amount of narrow lots. City council members amplified this message during the Oct. 6 work session.
