Contests up and down the ballot in Arizona were too close to call Wednesday morning as the remaining uncounted votes could sway them one way or the other.
Close races aren’t abnormal for the state, and a vote count that heads into Wednesday isn’t cause for alarm. Arizona’s widespread use of voting by mail means some day-of drop-offs of mail ballots create counting delays.
Official election results aren’t certified until close to the end of the month, though media organizations and campaigns often call races sooner.
