Following its work on the Adora neighborhood at Timber Sky with builder Mandalay Homes and developer Vintage Partners, construction technology company Mosaic has teamed again with Vintage Partners at Sky Cottages, a community of approximately 200 single-family build-to-rent homes in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The homes will be situated on 23 acres next to the Timber Sky community. About half of the available homes will be one-bedroom, one-bath floor plans or one-bedroom, one-bath plans with an office. One-quarter will offer two bedrooms and two baths, and the rest will offer three-bedroom, two-bath plans with a carport. Interiors will range from 750 to 1,250 square feet in size, and at least 20 of the homes will feature solar panels.
“We have developed software technologies that make construction more efficient and scalable,” says Salman Ahmad, CEO and co-founder of Mosaic. “By scripting and automating the construction process, we are able to build in a way that is more dynamic, allowing us to build more diverse and unique homes.”
The site’s multi-modal planning includes consideration of land use for accessibility. All units will have their own private front doors to the outside, and many will have their own private yards or patios.
