West Valley cities look to form mobile response team

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Glendale City Council will consider a plan at its meeting tonight (June 22) to be part of a West Valley Mobile Field Force Response Team to respond to large protests, civil disturbances and other regional public safety events.

The plan involves creating a regional team that includes officers and public safety resources from Glendale, Avondale, El Mirage, Goodyear, Peoria, Surprise, Tolleson, Buckeye and Wickenburg.

The Glendale council is being asked to approve an intergovernmental agreement related to creation of the mobile response team at its meeting. The agreement is slated to run until July 2026.
