Three new members will join the Arizona Board of Regents to fill vacant seats on the body that oversees the state’s three public universities.

Jessica Pacheco, a former Pinnacle West Capital Corporation executive who now runs a public affairs firm, and Bob Herbold, a former Microsoft executive who leads a philanthropic foundation, will join the board, Gov. Doug Ducey announced Monday.

Ducey last week named Northern Arizona University student Rachel Kanyur as the next student regent on the board.

Pacheco and Herbold are filling vacancies left by Kathryn Hackett King and Karrin Taylor Robson. Ducey appointed King earlier in July to the Arizona Supreme Court. Taylor Robson is running for governor.
