Council OKs land sale for HonorHealth facility

HonorHealth will expand its reach to Peoria with a new health care facility after the Peoria City Council unanimously approved the sale of a $3.43 million plot of land during a Feb. 15 meeting.

According to officials, the health care facility will be a 75,000-square-foot ambulatory medical campus in the P83 District. It will provide an array of health care disciplines and services, while creating new job opportunities and reaching more residents in the Peoria area.

“Our economic development team has worked hard to attract high-quality businesses and jobs to Peoria,” said Jennifer Stein, Peoria’s interim economic development services director.
